Roy Rogers, 59, of Poteau, passed away Saturday, Aug. 31, 2002, in Hodgen. He was born April 27, 1943 in Bokoshe. He was a member of the Spiro Assembly of God, and had worked 17 years of Spider Webb Motor Company, driving a wrecker.
Survivors include his wife Joyce of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Sandra Rogers of Poteau; one daughter, Shauna Rogers of Poteau; three brothers, Fred Loftis of Great Bend, Kan., Gene Loftis of Golden, Mo. and Jack Rogers of Poteau; two grandsons, Jeffrey and Justin; four stepsons, Jim Knobelsdorff of Spiro, Bobby Knobelsdorff of Poteau, Jerry Hiff of Dallas, Texas and Stanley Hiff of Middlesboro, Ky.; six step grandchildren, Jesse, Dana, Daniel, Jessica, Vallerie and Cristi; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and loved ones; and a host of beloved friends.
Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau with the Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Burial followed at
Vaughn Cemetery in Gilmore under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau.
