Pascal Doyle Shepard, 85, of Poteau, passed away Sunday, Nov. 17, 2002. He was born Feb. 14, 1917 at Lehigh to Edgar E. and Ada (Baskett) Shepard. He served in the Army Air Force during World War II, achieving the rank of Technical Sergeant, received the American Defense Service Ribbon with Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Air Medal with three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters and the Distinguished Flying Cross. He married Mildred (Millie) Lucile Fitzpatrick on Dec. 28, 1953 in Gallop, N.M. He was
self-employed, operating a laundry service in Poteau. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Poteau.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one son, Travis Larry Shepard of Florence, Ala.; two granddaughters, Heather and Holly; one brother, Dr. Wayne Shepard of Morringsport, La.; and many loved ones and friends.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Presbyterian Church in Poteau with the Revs. John Blue and Jeff Little officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at the Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
Pallbearers will be R.W. Sorter, Bill Hardin, Mike Harrison, Dean Warren, Dee DeLaRosa, Bob Dorey and Rob Dorey.
