Marie Teresa Taylor, 85, of Talihina, passed away Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Dec. 18, 1917 in Paris, Texas to John and Helen Mansour-Taylor. She owned and operated Taylor's Store since the 1940s. She was a member of St. Catherine's of Sienna Catholic Church and a longtime member of the Business and Professional Women's Organization.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Frederick Taylor.
Survivors include one brother, Ellis Taylor of the home; four cousins, Joe Mansour and Junior Mansour, both of Talihina, Christine Crain of McAlester and Mary Louise Yezbeck of Beirut, Lebanon; numerous other cousins and a host of friends.
Rosary services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 29 at the Talihina Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral masses will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at the St. Catherine's of Sienna Catholic Church in Talihina with Father Thomas Melton officiating.
Burial will follow in Old Talihina Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Ron Mansour, Joe Mansour, Jimmie D. Smith, Jimmie J. Smith, Mike Bailey and Ben Mathison.
Honorary pallbearers will be Bud Boerner, R. Mansour Jr., Joe Mansour, Bill Crane and Carno Elkins.
