Zella Lois "Loyce" Wilson of Springfield,
Oregon passed away on September 15, 1999. Loyce was born February 13,
1918 in Summerfield, Oklahoma to Weaver and Lela Jane Sexton Adams.
She moved to Redlands, California in 1926 and graduated from Redlands
High School in 1936.
Loyce lived in San Diego from 1942 to 1945, when she
moved to Springfield. She attended beauty college in Eugene, Oregon
for one year.
Loyce and Harold Wilson were married in Vancouver,
Washington on November 23, 1946. She worked as manager of the Towne
Shoppe in Springfield from the 1950's through the 1970's. Her
interests included fishing, crocheting, knitting and needlepoint, and
she was a member of the Springfield Moose Lodge.
Survivors include her husband; a brother, Ralph Adams
of Marcola, Oregon; three sisters, Dorothy Hall of Coburg, Oregon,
Ruth Payne of Redlands, and Mary Jenkins of Springfield.
An older brother, Lloyd Adams, passed away during
World War II in a Japanese prison camp. A daughter, Sue Dennis, passed
away in 1951.
Loyce was the granddaughter of Thompson David Sexton
and Lillie Palma Barns, and the great-granddaughter of Ish-Te-Millay
and David Sexton. We, her family, will always love her and cherish our
memories of her.
