Rachel M. Brooks
SALLISAW - Rachel M. Brooks, 81, of Sallisaw died Thursday, May 2,
2002, in Sallisaw. She was born July 2, 1920, in McKey. She was a
graduate of Sallisaw High School, a homemaker, a CMA at Sequoyah Manor
Nursing Home for 20 and half years and member of First Christian Church
in Sallisaw. She was the widow of Jack Franklin Brooks.
Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sallisaw City Cemetery
Gazebo under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
She is survived by a daughter, Jackie Farrar Harrison of Fort Smith;
a son, Robert Lee Brooks of Sallisaw; two sisters, Opal Young of McKey
Community and Betty Jo Lasswell of Deepwater, Mo.; a brother, John A.
Holt of Sallisaw; and four grandchildren, Randall P. Davis of San
Francisco, Tonya and Stephanie Nicole Mitchell, both of Fort Smith, and
Joseph N. Lindquist of Fayetteville.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
The body may be viewed 1 to 9 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday at the funeral home.
