J.O. Farmer
SALLISAW - J.O. Farmer, 74, of Sallisaw died Friday, Aug. 16, 2002, in his home. He was a former owner and operator of Modern Home Appliance of Sallisaw, a Marine and Merchant Marine veteran of World War II and a member of the Vian United Methodist Church in Vian. He was a former member and president of the Lion's Club and a former member of the Amateur Ham Operators Club in Fort Smith.
Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Buffington Cemetery west of Sallisaw under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw.
He is survived by his wife, Helen; a daughter, Deborah Edgmon of Sallisaw; four grandchildren, Scott Farmer of Washington, Okla., Michael and Larissa Edgmon, both of Sallisaw, and Travis Farmer with the Navy in Japan; and two great-grandchildren.
