Raymond M. Neal, 82, of Brooken, passed away Saturday, July 6, 2002. He was born June 27, 1920 to Ira Neal and Roxie (Westbrook) Neal. He grew up and received his education in Brooken. He began a career in construction that spanned his entire working life until his retirement. He was married to Freda Bryant and made their home together until her death in 1995.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Rita Archey; three sons, Ray Neal; and two infant sons.
Survivors include one son, Bruce Neal of Chouteau; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Almus "Sug" McKinney of Brooken and June Tinsley of Oklahoma City; one brother, Melvin "Buddy" Neal of Stigler.
Services were at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Faith Community Church with the Revs. Bill and Mary Fitzer officiating. Burial will follow at Brooken Cemetery under the direction of King & Shearwood Funeral Home of Stigler.
Pallbearers will be Tim Neal, Kirk Archey, Robert Whitecotton, James Waddle, Jim McKinney and Ray Badley.
