J.T. Whiteside
KEOTA - J.T. Whiteside, 85, of Keota died Friday, Sept. 1, 2000, in Stigler. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and active in Eastern Star. He was a retired farmer, a United Mine Worker and the owner/operator of Twilight Grocery for 13 years. He was the widower of Eva Whiteside.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday in Keota First Baptist Church with burial at Keota Cemetery in Keota under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Stigler.
He is survived by one daughter, Mary Ann Parkhurst of Claremore, Okla.; two sons, Bobby Whiteside of San Marcos, Texas, and John Allen Whiteside of Keota; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Lawrence Burris, John Goller, Robert Chapman and Charlie, Theo and William Mills.
Viewing will be 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.today at the funeral home in Stigler. Viewing also will be from noon to 7
