Graveside Service: 2:00 PM May 11, 2005 at Vaughn Cemetery Monroe, OK

Robert Joel Bost, 68, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away at his home on Sunday, May 08, 2005. Robert was born on April 11, 1937, to Pearly and Ora (Hudlow) Bost in Clayton, Oklahoma.

Robert was married to Pearl Roberta Durant on February 20, 1979, in Poteau.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Bill, Tom, Jess, and John Bost; one sister Dalila and a son, Gary Don Bost.

Robert is survived by his wife, Pearl, of the home; four daughters, Patty Swartz of Cameron, Oklahoma, Rose Baker of Heavener, Oklahoma, Janet Bixler and Terrie Robbins both of Poteau, Oklahoma; two sons, Monty Joe Bost of Heavener, Oklahoma, and Wayne Robertson of McAlester, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren, Edna Miller, Julie Miller, Kimberly Swartz, Sarah Swartz, Joseph Swartz, Wesley Benson, Christral Benson, Marcus Baker, Dakota Baker, Chris Mathis, Shena Scrimsher, Kimberly White, Jennifer Taylor, Jessica Nix, Amanda Robertson, and Keven Robertson; ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Cordella Culberson of Howe, Oklahoma, Alice Carter of Ada, Oklahoma, Jean Rimer of Wister, Oklahoma Minnie Pearl Wiley of Fanshawe Oklahoma; two brothers Don Bost of Wolf, Oklahoma, and Dan Bost of Poteau, Oklahoma, a special nephew, Kevin Wiley and his wife, Quata; and many other nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.


Pearl Roberta Bost, 76, of Poteau, OK passed away Friday, January 18, 2013 in Ft. Smith, AR.  Pearl was born June 21, 1936 in Poteau, OK to Walter N. & Cleo V. (Collins) Durant.   She was a homemaker. She also worked at McDonald’s in Walmart.   Pearl was a member of Double Branch Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob Bost; 3 brothers, Johnny George, Carl Willis and Walter Noah Durant.

 

Survivors include her daughters sons in law , Janet & Marty Bixler, Terrie & David Robbins of Poteau, OK; son, John Wayne Robertson of Poteau, OK; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Taylor, Jessica Nix, Christopher Mathis, Shena Scrimsher, Kimberly White, Kevin Robertson, Amanda Robertson; 16 great grandchildren; 3 sisters & brother in law, Carolyn & Archie Baca of Poteau, Mildred Huddleston of Oklahoma City, OK, Jean Bass of Poteau; 2 brothers, Paul Nichols and Charles Durant of Poteau, OK; other relatives & loved ones; many beloved friends.

 

Services will be 10 am, Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Evans Chapel of Memories, Poteau, OK with Rev. Charles Scott.  Interment will follow in Vaughn Cemetery, Gilmore, OK.  Pallbearers will be Wayne Robertson, Kevin Robertson, Danny Stinson & Tim Stinson.

 

The family will be at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 pm to visit with relatives & friends.
