Harold Edward Smith, 80, of Wister, Oklahoma, passed away on January 1, 2006. Harold was born on February, 20, 1925, to Solomon Carl and Ida Mae (Black) Smith in Sweetwater, Texas. Harold was an engineer and rancher. He was of Assembly of God faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

He is survived by the Mother of his children and grandchildren, Geneva Jane Smith Brown, two sons, Randall Smith and wife Eva, of Sherman, Texas, Gary Smith and wife Phyllis, of Fanshawe, Oklahoma, one daughter, Genice Cole of Poteau, Oklahoma, a brother, Thomas Smith of California, two sisters, Corine Goss of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Maxine Russell of California, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and a host of other loved ones and friends. Pallbearers will be Cliffton Smith, Stanton Smith, Randall Smith, Sheldon Sumpter, Billy Robertson, Eric Gunlock, and Walter Collins.

Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Fanshawe School Auditorium, interment following at Fanshawe Cemetery, with Brother Greg McGowan officiating. Services under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
