Dwayne Chandler, 70, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away Friday, June 20, 2008, in Poteau, OK. He was born August 8, 1937, in Poteau, OK, to Henry Eugene and Ellen (Emerson) Chandler. He married Judy Robinson on February 20, 1960, in Poteau, Oklahoma.

He was a route salesman for Frito Lay for 29 1/2 years, served in the United States Air Force and a member of the Southside Baptist Church in Poteau.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Janet Powers, and one sister Pansy Bishop.

He is survived by wife Judy of the home; one son, Gene Chandler of Fort Smith, AR; one daughter, Donna Murray and husband Danny of Broken Arrow, OK; seven sisters, Virginia Horn and husband Jay of Salem, IL, Gloria Hargrove, Daisy Chandler, Wanda Clay and husband Floyis, Rosemary Chandler, Joyce Piguet and husband Jerry, Cherry Dalmut and husband Joe, all of Poteau; five grandchildren, Justin Landherr, Derrick Landherr, Sara Murray, Lindsay Chandler and Miranda Chandler, and numerous other family, friends and loved ones. s

Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at Grace Manor Memorial Chapel in Poteau with Brother Art Cantu officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery Poteau, OK. Services are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau. Family will greet friends from 5 to PM, Monday, June 23, 2008, at the funeral home.
