Carmel William Johnson, 87, passed away Sept. 2 at the Cimarron Point Nursing Center in Mannford.

He was born Dec. 8, 1918, in Summerfield, the son of William Ernest and Mira (Coker) Johnson. He married Fannie Louise Newell on Sept. 12, 1946, in Tulsa. He worked as an inventory clerk for American Airlines for many years.

He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; a son Kenneth William Johnson; a sister Wathina Newman; and a brother Orville Johnson.

He is survived by his son Glenn Johnson of Mannford; two brothers James D. Johnson of Poteau and Leonard C. Johnson of Tulsa.

Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Reichert Cemetery in Reichert.
Services are under the direction of the Ninde Funeral Directors, Whisenhunt Chapel, Tulsa.
