Check Rainwater, 60, of Muse, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2004. He was born Feb. 4, 1944 in Muse to Odair and Audie Marrow Rainwater. Mr. Rainwater was a carpenter who loved to hunt and fish. He was always prepared to stop if he saw a good fishing hole. He was a man of few words, unless he was telling a hunting or fishing story. Check married Bernice Cranford on Jan. 19, 1973 at Talihina. He was a beloved husband and father. He was a member of the Muse Assembly of God Church.

He was preceded in death by his father; and father-in-law, Edmond, Cranford.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tonya and William Trowbridge of Talihina, Amie and Wesley Weaver of Heavener; five grandchildren, Ty and Jensyn Trowbridge, Keilee Rainwater, Trenton and Alexis Weaver; his mother, Audie Rainwater of Muse; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Densil and Shirley Rainwater of Whitesboro, Edward and Janet Rainwater of muse; five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Ina Mel and R.C. Means of Muse, Laverne and Jerry Sisk of Whitesboro, Lequita Martin and Linda Morrison, both of Talihina, Deborah Green of Muse; his mother-in-law, Agnes Crawford; as well as numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 24 at the Muse Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Bill Watkins officiating. Burial followed at the Muse Cemetery under the direction of Talihina Funeral Home.
