Neva Jean (McBride) Tackett, 44 of Poteau, OK passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2008 in Bokoshe, Oklahoma. Neva was born on March 23, 1964 in Talihina, OK to Wilmer Odus "Sam" & Drucilla (Ritter) McBride. Neva was a homemaker and a wonderful mother & grandmother.

Her parents, a sister, Cynthia Holderfield, & a brother, Harlan Ray McBride precede her in death.

Neva is survived by 2 sons, Chris Tackett of Bokoshe, OK & Jason Tackett & wife Jodi of Heavener, OK; a granddaughter, Rumor Tackett of Heavener, OK; 5 sisters, Pat Vinson of Noble, OK, Gail Mayer & Shirley Picklesimer of Poteau, OK, Sammie Thompson of Panama, OK, & Becky Maxell of Poteau, OK; 3 brothers, Samuel McBride of Carlsbad, NM, & Mackey McBride & Tim McBride, both of Poteau, OK; special friend Steven Tackett of Bokoshe, OK; numerous other relatives & loved ones; and many beloved friends.

Funeral services for Neva will be held at 10:00 a m, Wednesday, November 5, 2008 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, OK with the Reverend Brian Smith officiating. Interment followed the services at Whitesboro Cemetery in Whitesboro, OK with arrangements under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, OK.

Pallbearers are Mark McBride, Billie Thompson, Randall Foster, Mike Skelton, Kevin Lee Atkins, & Darryl Heatherington. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Thompson, Tweela Adams, Susie Yates, Heath Cosgrove, & Richard Tackett.
