June Whiteside, 73, of Cowlington, passed away Friday, May 14, 2004, in Fort Smith, Ark. She was born Nov. 8, 1930 at Liberal, Kan. to Winchell Edward and Clara Lillian (Garnett) Livingston.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Sam Whiteside; and a daughter, Julie Whiteside.

Survivors include one daughter, Charla Chrislip and husband Kevin of Broken Arrow; three sons, Ronnie and Spencer Bates of Cowlington and Mark Whiteside of Albuquerque, N.M.; five grandchildren, Clinton Bates, Allen Bate, Craig Bates, Barbie Bates and Sarah Chrislip.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18 at Cowlington Cemetery with the Rev. Eddie Blankenship officiating, under the direction of Mallory Funeral Home of Spiro.

Honorary pallbearers will be Clinton Bates, Allen Bates, Justin Armstrong, Kevin Chrislip and Aaron Stephenson.
