Johnny Lee "Cowboy" Cowan, 61, of Poteau, passed
away Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005, at Heavener. He was born Dec. 15,
1943, at Howe. He was a 1963 graduate of Poteau High School and
he was an auto salesman.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marie; a baby
brother; his grandparents; and numerous aunts and uncles.
Survivors include his father, Basil Cowan of the home; a
daughter, Jana; three grandsons, Justus, Jordan and Jamie; his
companion, Patsy Terry; Patsy's children, a son, Jamie Terry, a
daughter, Amanda Fowler; and Amanda's daughters, Kyley and
Ashlyn; his aunt, Nellie Johnson; other relatives and loved
ones; and many beloved friends.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at
Evans Chapel of Memories at Poteau with the Rev. Jim Cook
officiating. Interment will follow in
Howe Cemetery under the
direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau. Pallbearers
will be Jason, Underwood, Hank Abbott, David Abbott, Tommy Kemp,
Jamie Terry, Donny Yandell and Scott Cowan.
