When the census taker visits you, just look pleasant and tell him what he wants to know. Remember that he has Uncle Sam back of him and is authorized to pry into things that you may not think concern him. If he asks if any of your ancestry were hanged for horse stealing, or what you consider the best method of exterminating bed bugs, don't waste time arguing with him. Tell him all he asks and let him go.
