Blanche Leona Parr

Blanche Leona Parr, 73, of 218 East Broadway, passed
away April 18, 1999 at Heartland Heartland Health Care Center in Three
Rivers, Michigan. She was born October 21, 1925 in Purcell, Okla. the
daughter of Jack S. and Jewell F. (Burkett) Smith. Blanche moved to
Michigan in 1953 from Arkansas, and was employed by Eddy Paper Mill,
Fonda Corporation (formerly Continental Can Co.), and the Three Rivers
Dairy Bar. Mrs. Parr was preceded in death by her loving husband, James
Clifton Parr, who she married on September 18, 1943 in Caldwell, Ark,
and passed away on February 15, 1990, parents, and one brother, J. W.
(Buddy) Smith. She is survived by three children, Helen "Wanda"
(George) Carter, of North Pole, Alaska, James Harold (Mary Lou) Parr,
of Lake Mary, Florida, and Bobby Jack (Tammy) Parr of Waynesville,
North Carolina, eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, two
sisters, Violet Quinn of Burr Oak, and Janie (Floyd) Lantz of Goshen,
Indiana, one brother Jack K.(Mary) Smith of Lebanon, Missouri.
Visitation will be held 2-4 and 6-8 p. m. on Wednesday, April 21 at the
Hohner Funeral Home, where the family will be present. Funeral services
will be held 11:00 a. m. on Thursday, April 22 at the Hohner Funeral
Home, with Pastor Homer Yoder officiating. Interment will take place in
Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Heartland Health.
