Reynolds Rourke

"Gone Home"
Reynolds, the infant boy of Mr. and Mrs. G.W.
Rourke, aged four months, died on Thursday morning, June 20th, at three
o'clock, after a lingering illness of many days.
The child was baptized and christened on Sunday
preceding its death, Rev. S.G. Porter conducting the ceremony in the
presence of a few friends.
The funeral took place from the residence on
Thursday afternoon at four o'clock, a large crowd being present to
testify their sympathy with the parents. A number of beautiful floral
offerings covered the little white coffin, among them being an anchor
of carnations, presented by the employees of the Santa Fe. The Santa Fe
offices were closed at four o'clock and the force attended the funeral,
Mr. Rourke being agent for the company at this place.
The funeral address was made by Rev. Holler, of the
Presbyterian church, Masters Verdie Waite, Harold and William Hawk,
Stockton Trudgeon and Vernon Dickard acted as pall bearers. Excellent
music was furnished by a quartette composed of Misses Gail Miller, and
Bessie Shannon, Messrs. Browning and A.H. Blanchard.
