MOGG FAMILY

Contributed by Jim Kyle

To the Right:

Mogg home place on
north Second street in Davis, taken in the very early 1930s. It was
probably taken by my dad, who was the photographer in the family until I
toOK over the spot in the late 1940s

To the Left:

"MarchTrio" shows me (the baby), my
grandmother Nancy Ellen Mogg, and my cousin Foster Glenn Mogg, and was
taken at the home place in Davis during 1931. The title, written by my
mother in her album, refers to all three of us having birthdays within 3
days of each other in March. Foster is today, March 15, I'm on Saturday,
March 17, and Granny's was March 18. In this photo I was less than a year
old; I'll turn 70 in two more days. I haven't identified the car in the
picture but it may well be my father's Essex sedan.

To the right:

"Mom_me_1931" was dated
August 23, 1931, taken at Granny's home place in Davis, and by the look of
the car and of me quite well may have been the same day as "March Trio."
The two older boys in the photo are neighbors, Forrest James Crawford and
Olin Crawford. I have no idea what became of them in later years.
