BEAVER, Ather Troy (Red)

I'm trying to find ancestor's of my husband.  Looking for Ather Troy BEAVER known as (RED).  He lived in Murray County on and off for years.  Born in Wilburton, OK on 24 May 1920, died 17 October 1990 and is buried at the Drake-Nebo cemetary.  He married Estelle Ruth Williams from Drake valley on 28 June 1941 in Sulphur.  First son Troy James was born in Sulphur on 7
February 1942.  Ather's father was Claud James BEAVER, b ? in Mena, AR. Died approx. 1931-32.  His mother was Ada Bell THORNTON, I have no information on her, other than she may have been born in Talahina, OK.  We know she remarried after Claud died, but again no information is known about him, even his name.  Any information would be appreciated as the
history has been lost as far as we know.  Posted: 01 Jul. 1997, Received  28 Jun. 1997

CLARK, A. Frank

Andrew Franklin Clark, known most likely as Frank, was living in Sulpher, OK in 1910 when his mother died. I have seen his name as  Franklin Andrew also, but the war pension records for his father state Andrw Franklin Clark. Dr. I.N. Leyda, uncle to Mr. Clark, is also listed in the obituary as living in Sulpher.   According to the Leyda Family, Mr. Clark had two children, Erma and Van
who apparently are born before 1910. Mr. Clark's wife is unknown so I   figure she is an Oklahoma girl.
I also do not know when Mr. Clark and Dr. Leyda moved from Washington County, PA to Sulpher, Murray County, OK. My library does not have the census for OK so I have not looked at the 1900 census to see if they are listed.  Any information would be appreciated

COKER, Wm. J.

My husband's great grandfather, William Jackson Coker died 1 Oct 1918  in Nebo and is buried in Drake, Murray Co.  OK. I have written for his death certificate from the state but they don't have one.  So, I was wondering if there were any newspapers around the time of his death which would include obituaries.  Could you tell me which newspapers would have covered that area and where I could find them now.

WALLACE, Elizabeth

My father's mother's mother lived in Sulphur.  Her name was Nancy Elizabeth (Isabel) Wallace, but she married a few times, so her surname at any given moment could have been Curtis, Ross, or Walraven.  She was born about 1872 in Arkansas.  Her parents were Peter Wallace and Nancy
Harriet Austin.  I would be interested in ANY information about her:  address, occupation (I think she ran a store in Sulphur), dates she was in Murray County, marriages there (if any), etc., etc.

My father's father, John Thomas Duniho, may have married Lula Harriet Curtis in Sulphur (October 3, 1910).  If so, I'd love confirmation on that.
