Recalling the Past of Copan, Dewey, and Wann Areas:
Volumes I (1988), II (1992) and III (1995) by Phyllis Sue Smith
Volumes are a compilation of newspaper articles by the author
of interviews
conducted of persons residing in Nowata and Washington Counties,
some in
communities which no longer appear on the map. Information from
some of
those interviewed goes back prior to 1900 and identifies their
relatives,
friends, classmates, businesses, and events of early times. The
volumes are
an excellent historical and genealogical source. Vol. I and II
are out of
print, but Vol. III may be available from the author. They may
be found in
some libraries. The Coffeyville, KS, Public Library has copies
of all three. |
