Mr Lowrey died and was to be buried at the Martin Cemetery. At this
time, Big Creek had flooded and
they could not drive a wagon to the cemetery, so Sallie had him buried
in the front yard a few steps away from
the front porch. At the time I (Jeannie) recorded this and took photos,
the roof had collapsed on the old home
place and the little family grave yard was surrounded by a small fence
and huge cedars. They have beautiful
. markers still there. I (Jeannie) recorded this in 1989 with my mother
