Henry Simpson Johnston
Henry S. Johnston was born near Evansville, Indiana, on December 30, 1867. He moved to Colorado at the age of twenty-four where he studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1891. He later removed to Perry, Oklahoma where he practiced law. He was a member of the Constitutional Convention. He became Governor of Oklahoma in January, 1927, and was impeached as of March 20, 1929. He returned to the practice of law at Perry, until his death on January 7, 1965. He was a democrat.
