I looking for anyone related to the Newton and Jones families
in Okfuskee Co., OK.
My great grandmother was Margaret J. Jones born about 1864 in
Arkansas. She was married to Andrew Jackson Newton born about
1859 in Missouri.
Their children were
1. Izola May Newton
2. Myrtle Newton
3. Fredrick Monroe Newton
4. Josie Newton
5. Willie Franklin(Junie)Newton
6. Oscar A. Newton
7. Andrew Jackson (Jack) Newton
They lived in the Okfuskee Co., Oklahoma area. They are buried
in an old Indian Cemetery in Weleetka, Oklahoma.
Margaret's parents were Henry R. Jones and Margaret E. Jones.
Margaret's parents died while she was still young and she was
raised by her brother Erby Washington (Wash) Jones.
If anyone is related to these Newton's and Jones families, I
would like to exchange information.

Saw your post on the message board - Izola May Newton was my great grandmother (daughter of Andrew Jackson Newton and Margaret Jones Newton. Her son, William Morris Sutton was my grandfather. I am having difficulty finding any information on Margaret, where I think our Cherokee blood comes in. Have you any information that would help?

Jones, Ruth
