His mother, Mrs. Varvel Robertson, died on April 20, 1982 in an automobile accident. She founded the Robertson Convalescent home in 1938 in Oklahoma City, and was its manager for twenty years. Officially retiring from his acting career in 1976, Robertson returned to Oklahoma to fulfil his childhood dream... his prized Haymaker Farm, a 430 acre horse breeding and boarding business northeast of Yukon, Oklahoma. Dale Robertson married Susan ____ on Feb 25, 1980. He is the father of two daughters, Rochelle and Rebel Lee. Best known for his roles in ""Death Valley Days'' and ""Tales of Wells Fargo.'' He appeared in 63 movies during his 36-year acting career.
