Margene Richards Alexander, resident of Oklahoma City and formerly Yukon, died at her daughter's home in Aptos, California on Wednesday, May 9, 1990. Mrs. Alexander, widow of Claud T. Alexander who was Sales manager for 30 years at the Yukon Mill and Grain Company, was born in Alexander City, Alabama. After moving from Yukon to Oklahoma City she became an active member of The Ladies' Music Club and The First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City. Mrs. Alexander also entered the retail business and eventually became the buyer for and manager of Junior Miss.

Mrs. Alexander, who spent the last five years in Aptos, California lives in the loving memory of her daughter Betty Morris and granddaughter Nancy Morris of Aptos, her granddaughter Claudia Riha of Carlsbad, California, her great grandchildren Deane and Patricia Morris, and her niece and nephew Mrs. Genevieve Douglas of Beverly Hills, California and Mr. Charles Purnell of Pasadena, California.

Services will be held for Margene Alexander in the chapel of T he First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City by Dr. Garrison on Monday, May 14 at 1:00 PM. She will rest beside her beloved husband Claud at Fairlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Rachel Class of The First Baptist Church. Arrangements are being managed by Hahn-Cook/Street & Draper.
