William Avey Dies in Tulsa, Rites Tuesday
William T. Avey. 82, died Sunday at his
home in Tulsa after a brief illness.
Avey, a former bankers was born in
Illinois, but had lived in Oklahoma about 20 years. He moved
from Oklahoma City to Tulsa 16 years ago and was connected with
a building and loan association there. He was a member of the
Episcopal Church, a Mason, a Shriner and Knights Templar.
He is survived by two sons, Dan M. Avey,
J. R. Avey and a daughter, Mrs. Helen Rich, all of Tulsa; two
brothers, Newton Avey, Oscar Avey, and a sister. Mrs. Maud Widmeyer,
all of 1325 N Kentucky.
Services will be conducted at 2 pm Tuesday
in the Street and Draper funeral home. Burial will be in
Fairlawn.
