William David Badgett, Jr. went to be with his Lord and Savior on January 1, 2009. David was born on October 22, 1958 in Lockney, Texas.

David was preceded in death by his father William David, Sr. and his brother Danny Joe.

David is survived by his mother, Lajuana Badgett Swain of Moore, OK; daughters, Jennifer Elaine Richards of Moore, OK, Amanda Denise Badgett and her husband Joseph Gallagher of Midwest City, OK, Mary Elizabeth Badgett of OKC; grandsons, Christian and Ash; granddaughters, Zowie and Hannah; uncles, James McCormick and his wife Altha, James Badgett and his wife April; aunts, Nita Hyer and her husband Robert and Susie Gowen; a special cousin who was more like a brother, Rodney Hyer; as well as many other cousins, relatives and friends. David worked most of his life as a machinist, spending many of those years working for Odell Friar with KF Industries. David was a member of Riverlife Church of God.

Services for David will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 3, 2009 at John M. Ireland Funeral Home Chapel, Moore, OK. Interment to follow Floydada, Texas. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel.
