Amos H. Barnett, 76, of Oklahoma City and formerly of Henryetta died Dec. 6, 2002 in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 23, 1925 in Okfuskee County to Leah (Haney) Barnett and William Barnett.
He was married to Elizabeth (Marshal) Barnett in Norman on Aug. 20, 1976. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the Alabama Indian Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Buster Barnett, Frank Barnett and Haney Barnett.
Survivors include his wife, Liz Barnett of the home; daughter, Lori Harper of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Wake services were Tuesday Dec. 10 at 7 p.m., in the Shurden Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Dec. 11 at the Shurden Chapel officiated by Rev. Gene Harjo and Rev. Marvin Lowe. Burial will be at Westlawn Cemetery under direction of Shurden Funeral Home of Henryetta.
