Funeral
service for Lora Roberta Barnett, 93, of Chickasha, Oklahoma
will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 24, 2009 in the
Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home. Lora Roberta Barnett was born
November 29, 1915 North of Alex, Grady County, Oklahoma, the
daughter of Robert T. and Lenora (Anders) Allsup. She died
January 21, 2009 in Warr Acres, Oklahoma. She attended grade
school at Ireton and graduated from Alex High School in 1934.
She married Clifford Love in 1934 in Oklahoma City, and they had
one daughter, Loretta Love. They moved to California in 1940,
where Clifford passed away. Lora and Loretta moved to Chickasha,
Oklahoma in 1945. Lora joined Michigan Avenue Baptist Church in
1946 and went to work for George and Son's Studio. In 1961 she
married J.W. Barnett. She retired in 1964 and enjoyed their
retirement by visiting their families, camping and traveling.
She was preceded in death by: Parents her husbands: Clifford
Love in 1945, J. W. Barnett, October 4, 1984 3 sisters: Mattie
Creeach, Fay Wilkens, and Lillian Hames 2 brothers: Jodie Allsup
and Leon Allsup.
Survivors include: 1 daughter, Loretta Cavin of Oklahoma City 3
stepdaughters: Doris Conner of Houston, TX, June Barnett of
Midwest City, OK, Donna Smith and husband, Wray of Moore, OK 2
grandsons: Wendell Cavin of Edmond, OK, Wade Cavin of Portland,
Oregon 1 sister, Christine Russell of California 2 great
grandchildren: Lee Cavin of Edmond, OK, Lauren Whitney of
Dallas, TX many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews and friends. s
Interment will be in
Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral
Home.
