Norman E. Beardslee age 84, of Spencer, OK passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born October 18, 1922 at Elmira, New York to Carl and Jessie (Canfield) Beardslee. Norman married Catherine (Welliver) November 16, 1943 in Wellsburg, NY. Norman retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1970 serving in WWII, Korea, and Viet Nam Wars. He enjoyed fishing and boating and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine of the home; two daughters: Carol A. Sandoval of Midwest City and Twila Winkleman and her husband, Bob of Choctaw , OK; eleven grandchildren: Pam, Melody, Kenneth, Ronald, Donald, Thumper, Cindy, Shelly, Stacy, Kelli, and Kristi; nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

His parents; one son, Fredrick; one daughter, Darlene; and one grand-daughter, Becca, all preceded him in death.

A Graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm, Saturday, June 23, 2007 at Arlington Memory Gardens in Midwest City, OK.

Catherine Beardslee   Nov. 22, 1923 - June 4, 2012

SPENCER-- Early Monday morning Catherine Beardslee was lifted to Heaven on angels wings. She was met by her parents Clarence & Inez Welliver, brothers Lawrence & Wilmot, husband Norman, son Fred, daughter Darlene Whetsel & granddaughter Rebecca Whetsel. Catherine was born Nov. 22, 1923 in Wellsburg, NY. On Nov. 16, 1943 she married Norman Beardslee and became an Air Force wife. Catherine & her family were involved in equine activities & the Spencer Round Up Club. She loved to play cards, but she really loved to be with her family, especially while camping at the lake. She was always there for her children & grandchildren especially during difficult times. She is survived by daughters Carol Sandoval & Twila & Bob Winkleman; grandchildren Stacy Moore, Kristi Johnson, Kelli Tonemah, Melody Leslie, Pam Minor, Cathy Taylor, Cindy Green, Shelly Buchanan, Kristi Winkleman, Patti Phillips, B.J. Winkleman & Ken, Ron, & Don Arant; 34 great grandchildren & 13 great great grandchildren. Graveside services will be at 11am Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Arlington Memory Gardens.
