Lillie Maupin Bennett, 94, born December 18, 1902, died January 19, 1997. She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Hodgkinson, 3 grandsons and a great grandchild.

She is survived by Raymond Bennett , her husband of 41 years; 5 children and their spouses, Virginia Poiselle, Helen Shock, Flo & Dick Pricer, Elmer & Shirley Hodgkinson, Marie & Bobby Seay; 20 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren; a brother, John Maupin and a sister, Helena Nesbitt.

Born in the Philippine Islands, she came to Oklahoma as a small child. Lillie graduated from Central High School and attended the University of Oklahoma. She married and raised 6 children. She worked at Tinker AFB during WWII. Lillie married Raymond Bennett in 1955 and liv ed in Hawaii for 23 years. In 1978, they moved to Fort Worth, Tx. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Brook Scott and his staff, The second floor nursing staff and especially the TCU nursing staff at Mercy Hospital. Lillie love d the Lord and her family. She enjoyed art, music, reading and tatting.

Rosary will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, and Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, both at the Church of the Epiphany of the Lord Catholic Church.  Smith & Kernke Funeral Home.  Burial Fairlawn Cemetery.

Raymond Bennett , age 82, born September 1, 1915, died Tuesday, November 25, 1997 in Oklahoma City. He was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and attended school there. He was an agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He married Lillie Maupin Bennett and they lived in Maui, Hawaii for over 30 years. Upon retirement he moved to Fort Worth, Texas where he lived until January 1997 when he became a resident of the Sterling House in Oklahoma City. Ray loved his family and corresponding with his many friends.

He was predeceased by his wife of 42 years, Lillie Maupin-Bennett; stepson, Bob Hodgkinson; 3 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his stepchildren, Virginia Poiselle, Helen Shock, Flo & Dick Pricer, Elmer & Shirley Hodgkinson, Marie & Bobby Seay; 20 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and many many friends. Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 28, 1997 at Smith & Kernke Chapel. Internment at Fairlawn Cemetery.
