Ross Roberson Bennett, 42, of Lubbock passed away on
Wednesday, July 8, 2009. Ross was born March 20, 1967 in
Oklahoma City, Okla. to Clyde and Dolores Roberson Bennett.
He graduated from Abernathy High School and attended Texas Tech
University from 1985 until 1989 and had returned to Tech to
obtain his degree at The Center for the Study of Addiction and
Recovery.
He was very active in Narcotics Anonymous, The Center at
Tech, and a big believer in Dove Tree Recovery Center which
helped him turn his life around two and a half years ago. We
would like to thank all he was associated within the recovery
field.
Survivors include his mother and dad of Lubbock; and a
sister, Robin Bennett Cleveland of Cottageville, S.C. Memorials
are suggested to The Ross Bennett Scholarship Fund at The Center
for Addiction and Recover (CSAR), Texas Tech University, Box
41162, Lubbock, TX 79409.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Friday, July 17, 2009,
in St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 1101 Slide Road, Lubbock, TX.
