Jimmy
Don Bias , age 71, of Choctaw, OK, passed away June 26, 2009.
Jim was born March 29, 1938 in Tahlequah, OK to Guy H. Bias and
Olean (Pack) Bias . Jim received his Bachelor of Science in
Education from Northeastern State College and his Master of
Science in Education from Oklahoma State University. He taught
school at Meeker OK from 1963-1967. He then started his career
with Tinker Air Force Base, where he retired as commander of the
Defense Information Systems Agency Area Command Oklahoma City
after 32 years of service.
Jim is survived by his wife, Linda Bias, of the home in Choctaw;
one son, John Bias of Folsom, CA; two daughters: Anita Stepp and
husband Mark of Bartlesville, OK; and Brenda Bias of Midwest
City, OK; one brother, Guy Bias of Baltimore, MD; five
grandchildren: Malena and Bryan Trulson, Hal O'Connor Jr., Jacob
and Chelsea O'Connor, Dylan O'Connor, and Scott Bias ; and three
great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday, July 1, at 10:00 am at Hibbs
Funeral Home. Interment will be at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established in Jim's
memory, and those who wish may send their contributions to the
American Cancer Society; Oklahoma Alliance for Animals (NeuterSooner
Program); or your favorite charity.
