Bolding,Gene
83, of Midwest City, went to be with his Lord on Thursday,
Sept. 6, 2001. He was born to Walter G. & Mary A.
(Campbell), on June 29, 1918, in Hobart, OK. Gene was a
survivor of the tragic Babb Switch School Fire in Hobart as a
child. In high school, he was voted the most popular boy and
the most outstanding athlete, excelling in football and
wrestling. He attended Southwestern College in Weatherford on
a scholarship. Gene did a 5 yr stint in the USAF during WWII,
then worked at TAFB until retirement in 1973. Gene started
volunteer work at Midwest Reg. Hosp. in 1973 with over 11,000
hours of volunteering in 25 plus years there. He came to
Midwest City in 1951 and was a 50 year member of the First
Presbyterian Church of MWC serving as an elder of the
church.
Gene
married Ruby
E. Trissell, on Dec. 27, 1941, in Kimbell, NB.
He
is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruby
of the home; daughter, Myra Beth Klotz
of Tulsa; 4 grandchildren, Kimberly Dawn, Jennifer Elizabeth,
Ryan Eugene, and Joshua Lynn; 1 great granddaughter.
He
was preceded in death by his parents, son, Barry Bruce Bolding,
numerous brothers and sisters. Gene is a “no nonsense’’
kind of guy and believes “if you’re gonna do it, do it
right.’’ Gene says his helping other people is a way of
“giving back’’ many blessings, the good Lord has given
him.
The
viewing will be only at the funeral
home with the funeral
services being 10:00 AM, Monday, 9/10/2001, at the First
Presbyterian Church of MWC with burial at Arlington

Ruby Evelyn Trissell Bolding, 87, of Midwest City, went to be
with her Lord on Friday, April 13, 2007 in Tulsa, OK. Ruby was
born July 8, 1919 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Vern and Agnes Trissell.
Ruby grew up in the farming community of Willow, Okla. She was a
graduate of Ocina High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State
University. Ruby married Eugene Bolding on December 27, 1941 in
Kimbell, NB. They came to Midwest City in 1951 where Ruby found
joy in being a member at the First Presbyterian Church, being
active with her children through PTA, and volunteering at the
Midwest City Hospital and Mobile Meals.
Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Eugene
Bolding, her son, Barry Bruce and three brothers: Alva Lee,
Eugene and Eddie Trissell. She is survived by her daughter, Myra
and husband Ray Klotz of Tulsa, OK; two granddaughters: Jennifer
Klotz and Kimberly Chojnicki; two grandsons: Ryan Carson and
Joshua Kalkbrenner.
Services for Ruby will be Wednesday, April 18, 2007 at 1:30
PM at the First Presbyterian Church of Midwest City with
interment following at Arlington Memory Gardens.
