LeRoy
F. Bower, 81, Choctaw died on December 19, 2008. LeRoy was born
April 27, 1927 in Miles City, Montana, the son of Leonard and
Mabel Bower.
He served during WW II in the United States Navy retired in
1973 after 27 years at Tinker Air Force Base was the first
full-time firefighter for the City of Choctaw, where over the
years he served in many capacities, including Fire Chief,
Municipal Judge, City Council and Police Commissioner. After
retirement, LeRoy enjoyed living on Lake Eufaula for 27 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife
Nellie and wife Reba
"Cubby" Bower. LeRoy is survived by seven sons, Jim Huff and
wife Mary Ann of Newalla Don Huff and wife Annette of Choctaw
Darrel Huff and wife Sandy, Choctaw Larry Bower and wife Linda
of Midwest City Mike Bower and wife De Ann of Midwest City Jerry
Bower and Wife Bonnie of Choctaw Terry Randolph and wife Susan
of Quinton, OK daughter Janice Lucus and husband Charlie of
Choctaw 21 grandchildren 39 great grandchildren and 5 great
great grandchildren brother, Harry Bower of New Port Richey, FL.
Funeral Services will be conducted by Ford Funeral Service at
10am Tuesday at the Faith Community Christian Church in Choctaw
with burial in Dale Cemetery. The family would like to express
their heartfelt appreciation to the staffs of Manor Care and
Sweet Briar Nursing Centers.
