Graduated Brooklyn College in 1949; Professor Of Emeritus of Zoology at the University of Oklahoma.

Survived by wife, Lois; children Susan Braver Adams; Nancy Braver; Robert Braver and his wife Maren Eliason, and their mother, Norma Blanksteen Braver; step children, Cathy Chiles Wingfield, Clifford Donald Chiles and Gary Walter Chiles; grandsons Jesse Ray Adams, Jay Phillip Adams, William Robert Braver, Jonathon Erik Braver, Elias Aaron Braver, Zisaac Richard Braver and step-grandson Trevor Sheldon-Gaylor. He is survived by two siblings, Howard Braver and Dorothy Ornstil and brother-in-law, Sidney Ornstil. A third sibling, Eleanor Malamuth, preceded him in death.
