Harlan "Swede" Bredeson, passed from this life on Aug. 2, 2002 at the age of 77. Harlan worked as a postal clerk and retired after almost 30 years of service. After his retirement he worked at the Shepherd Mall Post Office and volunteered at the U.S. Employees Federal Credit Union.

Harlan was preceded in death by his parents, Hazel and Christian Bredeson; a brother, Dean; and a grandson, Harlan Lee Owens.

He is survived by his wife, Dorotha Gene "Dotty"; 3 daughters, Gail Joyce of Noble , Shelly Owens of OKC and Cindy Williams of Edmond; 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2002 at Baptist Temple, N.W. 30th and Villa in OKC. Bill Merritt Funeral Service 6201 NW 39th 789-5622.
