George
C. Breeden, Jr., 64, died Thursday, January 8, 2009 at MCSO,
Durant, OK. He was born in Roff, OK on January 24, 1944 to
George C., Sr. & Sylvia (Gurley) Breeden.
He was married to Linda King on December 7, 1963 in Gainesville,
TX. George loved to spend time with his family and grandkids in
the woods and at home. His favorite times were spent in the deer
woods and four-wheeling. George graduated from ECU with a BS in
Accounting and sat for his C.P.A. exam in 1966. He worked for
City Service Natural Gas in Oklahoma City, and also worked for
Griffin and Horn C.P.A. in Ada, OK, and Southeastern Oklahoma
State University, retiring from Big Five as interim Director in
2007. He was a C.P.A. for 43 years.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Breeden, of the home sons
George Breeden, III and wife Michelle, Durant, OK Billy Orloff
and wife Laura, Van Alstyne, TX grandson Josh Breeden of the
University of Oklahoma in Norman granddaughter Megan Breeden, "His
Honey Bunny #1" of Durant brothers Dick Coy and wife Kathy of
Taylorville, IL John Breeden and wife Helen of Ada, OK Jerry
Breeden and wife Katie of Ada, OK Robert Breeden and wife Pam of
Ada, OK sister-in-law Viola Hoffman and husband Bill of Murphy,
TX nephews Rick Coy & wife Mary of Taylorville, IL, and Shannon
(Paul) Coy and wife Dani of Taylorville, IL and numerous other
family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents grandparents brother
David Breeden and brother-in-law Franklin King. Services to be
held Monday, January 12, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at Fairview Baptist
Church, Durant, OK, Rev. Jeff Arnold officiating, with interment
at Highland Cemetery, Durant, OK. Pallbearers are Jerry
Tomlinson, Scott Burkett, Kris McElroy, Ron Stilwell, B.J.
Mullens, Mike Skinner. Family hour is Sunday, January 11, 2009,
7-8 PM at Coffey-Murray Funeral Home, Durant, Oklahoma.
