Funeral services for Florence Myrl Brewer, 77 year old Oklahoma City, Ok. resident will be held Tuesday, September 5, 1995 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shields Blvd. Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Ok. with Warren Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Hydro Masonic Cemetery in Hydro, Ok. at 2:30 p.m. under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home of Weatherford, Ok. Myrl was born on May 3, 1918, south of Hydro, Ok. to Benjamin David and Clara May (Carver) Sylvester and died Friday, September 1, 1995 at the Mustang Nursing Home in Mustang, Ok. She was raised south of Hydro, Ok. and attended Pleasant Valley Rural School. In 1936, she graduated from Hinton High School. On February 14, 1941, she married Frank E. Brewer Jr. in Hydro, Ok. They made their home in the Hydro area. In 1954, they moved to Oklahoma City, Ok. She worked for John A. Brown Company for nearly 27 years. She enjoyed sewing, yardwork, friends and family. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. 

Myrl is survived by her husband, Frank of the home; three daughters, Elizabeth Shade and her husband, Paul of Mustang, Ok., Elaine Grant and her husband, Robert of OKC, and Linda Kinder and her husband, Gary of Moore, Ok.; one brother, Russell Sylvester of Hydro, Ok.; and one sister, Lola Coe of Hydro, Ok. She is also survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Myrl was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Carl and one sister, Hazel.
