Briscoe, Saphrona C. passed away Friday, Oct 13. 1989. Mrs. Briscoe was born March 30, 1899 and was raised on the family homestead near Mustang. She lived there most of her 90 years. Her parents wsere William M. Smith and Martha Starkey Smith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Dick" Briscoe, and a daughter, Evelyn Briscoe Diggs.

Survivors include her sons, Louis, of Yukon, Bernard of Mustang, and Don of Las Vegas, NV; daughters, Nellie Ramsey of Baton Rouge, LA and Lucille Diver of Upland, CA; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren., Services will be at 1pm Wednesday at the Bill Merritt Mustang Chapel, with interment in the Mustang Cemetery.
