Judge Brown, Former Resident Here, Dead
Judge B. K. Brown of Shawnee, died Sunday and was buried there at 10
o'clock yesterday morning, formerly lived in Oklahoma City. At the opening
of the strip country in Oklahoma he located in Perry, but soon moved to
Oklahoma City. While here he was engaged in the jewelry and queensware
business. When the Kickapoo land was opened for settlement he moved to
Shawnee.
Judge Brown was born in Milwaukee, Wis., in 1815 and studied law at ____
and Paupanea in that state, being admitted to the bar in the latter place.
