Samuel D. Brunk, aged 78, of 3416 N. Virginia died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital.

Burial through Smith Kernke Funeral Home.

Member of St. John Episcopal Church. He was a former Vestry member, born in Memphis, MO. He grew up there and in Herford, TX. Came to OKC in 1910 and was a salesman for American International Pictures, Staff Reporter for Box Office Magazine and Executive Secretary of United Theatre Owners of Oklahoma. He was a member of Motion Picture Pioneers and Foundation, a life time member of Variety Clubs International and a member of the American Federation of Musicians of OKC. A musician, he played the French Horn and played with the Rube Nance band and was on the honor role of the Coliseum of Motion Pictures, Salesman of America. He traveled throughout Oklahoma and parts of Texas and Arkansas. His brothers toured this part of the U.S. for years as the Brunks Comedians".

Survivors are wife Lyn, daughter, Mrs. Jack Lamonte, 2508 NW 68 and 3 brothers, Henry L. and Charles of Wichita, KS and J.O. of Vernon, TX.
