R.G. Buckmaster

Wanette resident R.G. Buckmaster died Thursday in an Oklahoma City hospital. He was 74.

He was born Feb. 28, 1923, in Shawnee to Elish and Birdie Mae (Gregory) Buckmaster. He was a boat fabricator and ran several service stations in the Shawnee area. He also was employed at Stevens Oil Co.

Surviving are his friend and companion, Alice; four sisters, Edith Alline, Peggy Robertson, Carmelita Terry, Kay Odel Hopkins; three brothers, Jimmy Roy Buckmaster, LeRoy Buckmaster, Paul Buckmaster, and many other relatives, including his niece, Paula Buckmaster.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a brother, Harold Buckmaster, and a sister, Aretta Williams.

Arrangements are under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
