Our loving daughter, Courtney Bunker and child of God, went
home to be with Our Lord on January 28, 2007. Courtney was a
loving and gifted young woman who had a tremendous impact, on
not only her family, but on everyone that she met. Her giving
heart and glowing smile could light any room. Her commitment to
God was undeniable and there is no doubt where she will spend
eternity. She will be sorely missed by so many, but her memory
will be with us forever. Through her wish to be an organ donor,
her spirit will live on in others, hopefully in the way that she
lived her life; being accepting of anyone, giving to everyone,
and being a shining example of Christ. Our love for her is
beyond words but we know we will see her again.
Our Courtney will live and spread THE WORD. Courtney was born
on July 13, 1986 and has lived in Edmond for most of her life.
Courtney is survived by her parents, Jay and Cindy; her older
brother, Jason; sister Chelsea and younger brother, Jake; three
grandparents, Leslie and Dortha Bond of Wichita Falls, Texas and
Lillian Bunker of Edmond, Oklahoma; uncle, John L. and aunt, Zoe
Ann Bond of Fort Worth, Texas; and one cousin Stephen Bond, also
of Fort Worth. A formal visitation will be held at Matthews
Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly in Edmond on Thursday, February 1,
2007 from 6:00 to 8:00pm.
Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 2, 2007
at Cathedral of the Hill Assembly of God Church at 1600 SE 15th
Street in Edmond with burial at
Memorial Park
Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Again, Courtney will live
and spread THE WORD. Services are under the direction of
Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
