Isaac Burris
Services for Isaac Burris were at 2 p.m. Sept. 16 at the
Pigeon Roost Church in Boswell. Brother Leon Postoak officiated
the ceremony. Internment followed at the Pigeon Roost Cemetery
in Boswell.
Isaac Burris, of Nicoma Park, died Sept. 12, 2002 in Oklahoma
City. He as 69.
Isaac Burris was born April 21, 1933 in Colgate to Buster and
Wilma Burris. A laborer, he had lived in the Oklahoma City area
most of his life. He was a member of the Central Baptist Church
in Oklahoma City and served in the Korean Conflict from
1953-1955.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a
sister.
He is survived by two sons; Harold and Haskell Lee Burris of
Nicoma Park, two daughters; Winona Armstrong of Spencer and
Sandra Kay Burris of Nicoma Park, two brothers; Buster Burris,
Jr. of Chickasha and Richard Burris of Shawnee, four sisters;
Joanne Cowben of Midwest City, Oleta Lafountain of Del City,
Wynena Loring of Browning, Mo. and Charlene Hawkins of Wayne,
nine grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Miller & Miller
Funeral Home in Hugo.
