Carney, Veneda C., 88, of OKC, passed away on December 13, 1996. She was born on June 5, 1908 in Birchtree, MO to Joseph R. and Ella Mary (Welch) Pierce. Veneda was a homemaker and a member of the Trinity Church of the Nazarene.

She was preceded in death by husband, William Carney; daughter, Ruth Webb; son, Homer Carney; four brothers, Orval, Oran, Cecil, and Arnold Pierce; and her parents.

Survivors include grandchildren, Nancy Young and husband Tom, Billy R. Webb and Rev. Tom B. Webb; great-grandchildren, Danny Joe Young, Patrick Webb, Robert Webb, Brooke Kerns, and Troy Webb; and one great-great-grandson.

Graveside services will be held 12 Noon Tuesday, Dec. 17, 1996 at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester
