First Car Man Killed

All cars on the lines of the Oklahoma Railway company were stopped from 4 to 4:05 o'clock out of respect for E. L. Carruthers, motorman, who was killed Tuesday night when car number 29, which he was running, left the rails near the North Oklahoma station and collided with a trolley pole. The funeral was held in Centrahoma, Okla., the home of Carruthers. Many employes of the company attended. Carruthers was the first car man killed since the operation of the cars in this city. He had been working for the company since January 1.
