Jack was united with Hopewell Baptist Church in 1918 and was baptised by pastor VanBibber.
He departed this life Jan. 13, 1939.
Beside his immediate family he leaves a host of friends who regret his departure. Jack was a good neighbor; he loved his family and was a good provider. He has been in poor health for the past few years, bearing his sickness with Christian fortitude, always hoping for a return of health.
His funeral was conducted from the Hopewell Baptist
church by Rev. E. O. VanBibber, assisted by Rev. Armitage. Singing was lead by
Mrs. Louie Gilmore. Burial was in Whisler cemetery, with Baggerley Funeral
directors in charge of arrangements.
